On Thursday (Sept. 12), Rick Ross took to his Instagram Story to poke fun at Shannon Sharpe’s viral mishap, where the NFL Hall of Famer unintentionally broadcasted intimate moments on Instagram Live. In the video, Ross jokingly suggested that Sharpe was trying to record the encounter but accidentally switched to live streaming.

“Shannon Sharpe, we forgive you ’cause we know you old nias don’t know how to work that technology,” Ross laughed. “You were vibing with your little jawn last night, trying to film it, and when you sat that muthafka down on the dresser, it went live,” he added before bursting into laughter.

On Wednesday (Sept. 11), Shannon Sharpe unintentionally shared audio from an intimate moment with an unidentified woman during an Instagram Live session. Initially claiming his account was hacked, Sharpe later admitted it was a mistake, explaining that he had accidentally activated IG Live while being intimate.

In an episode of his Nightcap podcast, Sharpe explained, “I’ve never turned IG live on, so I didn’t know how it worked. All of a sudden, my other phone started going off.” He expressed his embarrassment, especially given his typically private nature.

“I’m disappointed in myself—not for the act itself, but for letting the audio get out there for the world to hear,” Sharpe admitted. “I let a lot of people down.”

The incident drew widespread attention, with Rick Ross leading the lighthearted trolling.
