Kevin De Bruyne Set to Leave Manchester City Amidst Shocking Transfer News

Kevin De Bruyne, the star midfielder for Manchester City, is reportedly eager to join Al-Ittihad after expressing a desire to move to Saudi Arabia.

The Belgian midfielder has just one year remaining on his contract at the Etihad Stadium. He has been linked with numerous high-profile transfer moves recently, notably with top clubs in the Saudi Pro League.

According to reports from Italy, the 33-year-old has agreed to personal terms with Al-Ittihad.

Currently, negotiations are ongoing between the Saudi Arabian champions and Manchester City regarding the transfer fee. It is believed that if everything goes according to plan, De Bruyne will leave the Premier League this summer of 2024, or at the latest, in the winter transfer window of 2025.

This move follows the midfielder’s admission that he is open to considering offers from Saudi Arabia at this stage of his career. Speaking last month, he said, “At my age, you have to be open to everything. You’re talking about huge sums of money at what could be the end of my career.

“Sometimes you have to think about that. If I play in Saudi Arabia for two years, I could make an incredible amount of money. Before that, I played football for 15 years and might not have earned that much. What happens next is a mystery.”

Meanwhile, Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has always urged De Bruyne to retire at the club. The Spanish strategist said, “That is a question for him. I would love for him to stay, but I don’t know.

“I hear some offers, but I don’t know if there is any offer. I don’t know if Saudi Arabia wants him. I would love him to stay until the end of his career, but I cannot decide.”

De Bruyne has proven himself to be one of the best signings in Manchester City and Premier League history. During his time at the Etihad, he has won six Premier League titles, the Champions League, two FA Cups, and five League Cups.

As the transfer saga unfolds, Kevin De Bruyne’s potential move to Al-Ittihad marks a significant moment in football. Fans and experts alike will be closely watching to see how this story develops and what it means for the future of both Manchester City and the Saudi Pro League.
