Nicki Minaj will not be compelled to testify in the $150 million legal dispute between her mother and Charles Polevich, the man responsible for her father’s death, according to In Touch Weekly. A judge has denied Polevich’s request to depose Minaj, believing she possesses information crucial to Carol Maraj’s lawsuit against him. Polevich has a 30-day window to renew his motion with proof of efforts made to contact Minaj, failing which he may be barred from pursuing her deposition.
“In the event that the defendant is unable to furnish such proof to this Court, within thirty (30) days of the date of this decision and order, with notice of entry, the defendant shall be precluded from obtaining said discovery-to wit, the nonparty deposition of Ms. Minaj.”
