Mike Tyson’s Past Slept With Prison Counsellor In Order To Shave Time Off His Sentence

Legendary boxer Mike Tyson revealed in a recent interview that during his time in prison, he resorted to a controversial strategy to reduce his sentence: he admitted to sleeping with a prison counselor. Tyson, known as the Baddest Man on the Planet for his formidable boxing career and multiple heavyweight titles, faced significant legal troubles in 1991 that resulted in a six-year prison sentence. Despite his claims of innocence, Tyson served less than three years at the Indiana Youth Center before his release in 1995.

In a candid discussion with VLAD TV last year, the 54-year-old reflected on his prison experience, detailing how he initially struggled with disciplinary issues before learning to navigate the environment. Tyson admitted to dating a counselor and acknowledged that their relationship included sexual encounters. This relationship, he claimed, helped him in his efforts to pass the GED (General Educational Development) and eventually reduce his sentence.

Reflecting on his early challenges in prison, Tyson admitted to disciplinary issues that initially earned him write-ups and extended his sentence. However, he eventually adapted to prison life, becoming a trusted inmate and excelling in his role within the facility. Despite his initial difficulties, Tyson’s acknowledgment of his past behaviors and his subsequent adaptation to prison routines underscored a transformative period in his life, characterized by both controversy and personal growth.
