Mike Tyson Makes His Mind About Jake Paul Clear As Fight Collapse Reveals $25 Million Loss

Mike Tyson will face Jake Paul in a blockbuster boxing bout on November 15, with the 58-year-old issuing a brutal warning to the former Disney star

Mike Tyson admitted he is fond of Jake Paul – but that does not mean the former YouTuber is safe when they go to war next month.

The 58-year-old will face the gregarious Ohio native on November 15. Their boxing match has been condemned throughout the fighting world, as many are worried about the pair’s 31-year age gap.

Their original bout had to be postponed after Tyson was urged not to fight him after suffering an ulcer flare-up. Not only has he declared that he is fighting fit, but he also said he is looking to take Paul out of boxing for good.

During an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Tyson said: “I like him, but in this particular fight, he has to go. I don’t look at this like it’s going to be an easy right. This guy is going to be prepared, but I’m prepared for it sure.”

When asked if he thinks Paul is scared of him, Tyson said: “Well, that’s part of fighting, I’m nervous too. But the closer it gets to the fight, the least nervous I get.

“I’m training extremely hard. I start at 11am and I might leave the gym at 5pm. When I finish doing my boxing sessions, I’ll get a massage for an hour and then I go into strength and conditioning.”

Tyson’s comments proceed a recent interview with the Daily Mail, where he also revealed that his ulcer may have been down to his poor diet. He said he “can’t escape the vapes” and had been “doing too much bad food and stuff, and I got sick”.

Given that the bout will impact his current record of 50 wins, 44 knockouts, and six losses, many believe it could affect his legacy. But Tyson isn’t concerned.

He continued: “I didn’t take this fight for legacy. I think legacy really, to my perspective, legacy is ego. Who gives a f*** how people think about them when they are gone? I’m dead. I can’t value off what somebody might think about me when I’m dead, so it means nothing to me.”
