Mike Tyson has already inspired a generation as he prepares to take on Jake Paul in a huge boxing match.
When Iron Mike agreed to return to the ring for a professional fight for the first time in 19 years, there have been many denouncing the decision.
Especially after the original bout in July was postponed because of a health scare suffered by the former world heavyweight champion.
But fears over the 58-year-old’s health have somewhat allayed after he uploaded a video of himself training on YouTube – displaying that signature speed that made him the Baddest Man On The Planet in his heyday.
It showed Tyson return to the gym on what was supposed to be his day of rest as he trains hard in preparation of his return fight.
After some cardio and tests, Tyson entered the ring to spar and showed incredible speed that knocked the wind out of his partner despite training gear on.
A flurry of punches landed in the blink of an eye and there was an inkling of Tyson’s ability when he was in his prime nearly 30 years ago.
Fans were in awe of the New York-born star, with one saying: “Mike you are the picture-perfect definition of “old man strength” right here. I still cannot believe how fast you are!”
Even the older fans were left inspired with another writing: “I am old, but seeing Mike training makes my heart pound in my chest. I feel the blood rush into my hands. This Man is inspiration personified.”
A third said: “Been my superhero since 1986 as a 6-year old, and still is!!! That will never change!!”
While this fan put: “I have watched Mike since the 90s! I wish to one day just set down and talk about life!”
Another elderly fan posted: “You got this big man!!! Mike, out box, out think, out move this punk.
“I’m 60 and have watched every single one of your fights, you’re a monster and a true athlete. Keep your laser focus, don’t let the devil into your head.
“Do what you do best and prove those that doubt you they are wrong. REMEMBER your pre-fight rituals that took you to the title.
“I believe in you Mike!!! GOD BLESS YOU!!!!! – and for Jake, he better hope his health insurance is paid up!”
The love continued for Tyson, with another fan saying: “This man can still fill a stadium 25 years after he retired.
“That’s the type of fighter Tyson is. Just a phenom. Never ever will we see his like again. Every single gym around the world had a Mike Tyson poster in it.”
There have been plenty of critics over the upcoming clash, which is set to go ahead on November 15 at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
It will be a clash of worlds when Paul, who earned his popularity through YouTube before trying his hand at boxing, meets one of the sport’s all-time greats.
While Paul boasts a record of one defeat in 11 professional fights, the only actual boxer he has faced was Tommy Fury, who he lost to.
The rest have either been fellow YouTubers or retired MMA stars but goes into the contest as the favourite based on the fact he is 31 years younger than Iron Mike.
