After a simmering feud earlier this year with Nicki Minaj, Megan Thee Stallion appears to address her former ally in “Rattle,” a track from her newly released album “Megan.” Currently on her inaugural headlining “Hot Girl Summer” tour, Megan takes subtle jabs at Minaj throughout the song, asserting, “Ain’t got no tea on me, this hoe think she TMZ,” which she repeats prominently. The internet is split over the target of these shots — possibly aimed at her ex-best friend Kelsey Nicole, who also features in the lyrics. However, Minaj also seems a likely subject, given their recent tensions heightened by Megan’s release of “Hiss,” the opening track on her latest album. In “Hiss,” Megan raps pointedly, “These hoes don’t be mad at Megan, these hoes mad at Megan’s Law,” a direct reference to Minaj’s husband Kenneth Petty, convicted of first-degree attempted rape of a 16-year-old. Megan’s Law mandates public disclosure of information about sex offenders.
Minaj swiftly responded to the jab with “Big Foot,” poking fun at an incident where Megan was shot in the foot by Tory Lanez, who is currently incarcerated.
