“leaked” Ryan Garcia’s New Workout Video Shocks Fans: “looks Bigger Than Canelo”
Ryan Garcia seems to have noticeably gained weight since his suspension from boxing.
“King Ry” defeated Devin Haney impressively on points but later tested positive for the banned substance Ostarine in two separate drug tests. Since his suspension was confirmed, Garcia has returned to training in the gym but looks notably different.
The American now sports a much larger frame and appears significantly heavier than his traditional fighting weight.
Fans have also noticed the change, with one commenting, “Ryan looks like he’s a light heavyweight, wow.” Another agreed, saying, “Dude has packed on some weight.”
One fan humorously remarked, “Mad, this guy literally looks bigger than Canelo [168lbs].”
Another fan suggested, “He’s crazy for fighting 140-pounders. Fight someone your own size.”
Acknowledging Garcia’s physical transformation, a viewer added, “He is out of shape, but no hate he’s just living life right now.” Garcia let out his frustrations on the pads. Credit: Fight Hub TV Offering advice, another viewer said, “Best thing he could do is stay in shape and be ready.”
Despite the added weight, some fans noted Garcia’s speed, with one commenting, “Even with the added weight, dude is fast.”
Summing up his new look, a final user claimed, “The dude is built like an MMA fighter.”
Garcia now faces a frustrating period out of the ring until his return in 2025.
A rematch with “The Dream” Devin Haney will likely be a top priority upon his comeback.
Responding to the New York Commission’s decision to ban Garcia and overturn the result, Haney tweeted, “Thank you to the commission for doing the right thing and making the right decision. I’m happy it wasn’t a DQ [disqualification] because I wouldn’t want to win like that. Once this suspension is over, Garcia, let’s run it back. Clean on an even playing field. Biggest fight in boxing.”
The 25-year-old has also expressed interest in a rematch with Gervonta Davis, who handed him his only career defeat last April.
