Lance Stroll emphasized his father’s “heart and passion” for the Aston Martin project, for which he funded a significant amount of money.
Since becoming owner of Aston Martin, Lawrence Stroll has always emphasized that his goal is to make the Silverstone-based team the best in F1 and win the world championship. So far, that hasn’t happened as England endure a difficult campaign. Despite the difficult season, the owner’s son insisted that the team is being given everything necessary to achieve the goals set by the owner.
“Yes, he has vision and passion,” Stroll told several media outlets. “He wants to be at the top, and that’s what he gives everyone at Silverstone, an opportunity to do that and the tools to do that. “Lawrence, he’s pouring all his heart, passion and ambition into this project. I mean, giving everyone at Silverstone every tool to bring something special to the track.”
2026 is a ‘huge opportunity’
Aston Martin’s best chance to win races and win the championship will come in 2026, when new engine regulations are introduced and the partnership with Honda begins. Having Honda as an engine partner and being a factory racing team is important for Aston Martin to compete at the top. According to current regulations, Honda has also produced a powerful and competitive engine, which is a good sign for Aston Martin in the future.
Stroll is very excited about the upcoming regulation changes and sees this as an opportunity for the team to take steps in the right direction. “The wind tunnel will be completed in a few months,” Stroll said. “2026 is a huge opportunity for all teams, with a completely new set of regulations. “I think this is an exciting opportunity, changing regulations is always an exciting opportunity for teams to try and create something special.”
