According to a report from ABC 7, attorney Brian Brumfield has requested to cease representing Kanye West in a lawsuit after the rapper allegedly refused to pay and communicate with him. Documents filed in court indicate that Brumfield stated Kanye wished to terminate their professional relationship by the end of June.
Initially, Kanye faced allegations of assault and intentional infliction of emotional distress against Justin Poplawski in a lawsuit related to autograph sales. Brumfield was representing the Grammy-winning artist in this matter. However, after a period of working together, Brumfield filed a separate motion to withdraw as counsel for the rapper. The motion did not specify the exact reasons for this request.
This news surfaces as Kanye is once again involved in another lawsuit, this time filed by a former Yeezy employee in early July. However, Kanye himself has remained silent, while his new wife, Bianca Censori, has staunchly denied all accusations.
With Brian Brumfield no longer representing him, the controversial rapper will undoubtedly need to retain new legal counsel to address the ongoing legal challenges he faces.
