Nate Diaz returned to the boxing ring for the first time since his loss to Jake Paul in August 2023, facing Jorge Masvidal at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California this past Saturday. Diaz, backed by enthusiastic fans, secured a majority decision victory over Masvidal, evening their score following their previous UFC encounter in 2019 where Masvidal emerged victorious.
In his post-fight interview with Brian Campbell, Diaz declared his intention to face Jake Paul once more, stating, “I’m going to beat Jake Paul’s f*cking ass.” He also expressed a broader goal of fighting the highest-ranked boxers and returning to pursue the UFC title, targeting opponents like Leon Edwards and Paul.
Paul swiftly responded to Diaz’s challenge, criticizing both Diaz and Masvidal. He tweeted, “F*ck you Nate Diaz you’re a hoe who ducked my PFL $15m MMA offer Masvidal trash too smh.”
Currently, Paul is preparing for a fight against former UFC fighter Mike Perry on July 20th, following the cancellation of his bout with Mike Tyson due to Tyson’s health issues.
