Frank Warren Anticipates That The Upcoming Anthony Joshua Vs Daniel Dubois Fight Will Break The Attendance Record Previously Set By Tyson Fury.

Frank Warren is optimistic that the upcoming IBF heavyweight title fight between Anthony Joshua and Daniel Dubois could break the British boxing attendance record. The fight is scheduled for September 21 at Wembley Stadium, which recently increased its capacity to 94,000 seats for Tyson Fury’s bout against Dillian Whyte.

Speaking on talkSPORT, Warren expressed confidence in surpassing that record: “Oh, it’s massive. I mean, we will be applying to increase the capacity like we did last time when Tyson Fury fought against Dillian Whyte. And I think we’ve got it, I think we will probably break that record. So it’s really looking good.”

Eddie Hearn, Joshua’s promoter, has also suggested that the event could potentially sell 100,000 tickets. Previously, Joshua drew crowds of 90,000 for his fight against Wladimir Klitschko in 2017 and 80,000 for his bout with Alexander Povetkin in 2018.

While Dubois may not have the same level of recognition as Klitschko, Warren believes in the drawing power of domestic matchups in boxing, indicating strong potential for a record-breaking attendance at Wembley Stadium.
