British boxing legend Frank Bruno, known for his enduring popularity, recently shared his perspective on the toughest opponent he faced in his career, which included bouts against heavyweight giants Mike Tyson and Lennox Lewis.
Bruno, a prominent figure in British culture during the late 1980s and 1990s, had a challenging career marked by notable losses, yet he achieved his long-awaited dream of winning a world title on September 25, 1995. Before that triumph, he had memorable encounters with Tyson in 1989 and Lewis in 1993, where he showcased his skill with a strong jab and power punches early in the fights. However, he ultimately succumbed to defeats against both formidable opponents.
In an interview with The Ring Magazine’s “Best I Faced” feature, Bruno singled out his old rival ‘Iron Mike’ Tyson as the most formidable adversary he encountered in the ring.
