After her impressive racing career, former NASCAR and IndyCar driver Danica Patrick has found herself as an analyst and racing pundit; most actively, she is a host on her ‘Pretty Intense’ podcast. Patrick, in one of her episodes, shared her spiritual experience that happened through a dog and why she felt she must have been a stray dog in her previous life.
Patrick is one of the most successful women in IndyCar history. She holds the distinction of being the only woman driver to win an open-wheel race, achieving victory at the 2008 Indy Japan 300. Furthermore, she made history in NASCAR by becoming the first woman to secure pole position at the prestigious Daytona 500 in 2013.
In the next chapter of her life, Patrick, who is worth $80 million (according to Celebrity Net Worth), delved into entrepreneurship and opened a clothing brand called ‘Warriors’. She also owns a vineyard, Somnium, in Napa Valley, California. Moreover, she even authored a book called ‘Pretty Intense’.
In an episode of “The Pretty Intense Podcast,” which was released six months ago, Patrick invited Karen Anderson, a pet medium who specializes in pet loss and animal communication. Confessing her deep empathy for animals, Patrick kicked off the episode by admitting that she’s more likely to shed tears over a dog on Instagram than a person. Furthermore, the 42-year-old Patrick shared a story of her spiritual experience during the episode.
“It was in Tulum, Mexico. There was a dog, [on] the beach there’s lots of stranded dogs and there was one that came around. First day we were on the beach and and it was so cute and I just named this one Lucy. And I really wanted to see Lucy all the time and when I would release sort of that grip on wanting so much all of a sudden, she’d appear. It’d be like an energetic experience,” Patrick said [5:23].
Patrick also mentioned that she saw some stray dogs while visiting the Coba ruins in Mexico, and she explained why she must have been a stray dog in her previous life.
“I think I must have been a stray dog in another life cuz, one, I feel like, I’m always hungry and two, I feel for them so much and the loneliness,” she said.
