Florentino Perez Negotiates Cristiano Ronaldo’s Return to Santiago Bernabeu in Unexpected Move.

Florentino Perez, the president of Real Madrid, is actively negotiating with Cristiano Ronaldo in a surprising effort to bring the Portuguese star back to Santiago Bernabeu.

Cristiano Ronaldo holds a special place at Real Madrid, alongside Alfredo Di Stefano as one of the club’s greatest players. Ronaldo made history with Real Madrid, becoming an icon for a generation of Madrid fans. He joined the Spanish capital in 2009 with a clear mission: to end Barcelona’s dominance. Ronaldo accomplished his mission brilliantly before departing for Juventus.

After nearly a decade at Real Madrid, CR7 conquered every pinnacle of success. As the Royal Club acknowledged in their farewell statement: “Today, Real Madrid wants to express its gratitude to the player who has proven to be the world’s best, marking one of the most glorious periods in the history of both the club and world football.”

Ronaldo became Real Madrid’s all-time leading scorer (450 goals in 438 games), the top scorer in Champions League history (120 goals in 153 games, including 105 for Real), and won five Ballon d’Or awards (four with Real Madrid).

Thanks to Ronaldo’s brilliant performances, Real Madrid won 16 major titles, including an unprecedented three consecutive Champions League titles. The CR7 brand also significantly increased Real Madrid’s appeal to investors, generating enormous revenue from advertising and jersey sales.

For many Real Madrid fans, Ronaldo is considered a living legend. At the “Marca Leyenda” award ceremony for Ronaldo, Real Madrid president Florentino Perez had this to say about the current Al Nassr player: “We will always remember Ronaldo. I am a fan of Cristiano. He is the best, he is the best… How could I not be here?” Perez then warmly hugged CR7 on stage.

According to Spanish media, Real Madrid’s president is actively negotiating with Cristiano Ronaldo to bring him back to Santiago Bernabeu in an unexpected way. Perez aims to restart the Bernabeu Cup, a friendly tournament established to honor the great Real Madrid president Santiago Bernabeu, which has been held regularly since 1979. The 2019 edition was canceled due to stadium renovations.

The COVID-19 pandemic and other reasons have prevented Real Madrid from restarting the Bernabeu Cup. Sources indicate that Perez and his associates are planning to invite Al Nassr to participate in the Bernabeu Cup. Consequently, Perez is actively negotiating with Cristiano Ronaldo, hoping to convince the Portuguese star to participate once the tournament is scheduled. This will be a tribute similar to the 2013 match when Real Madrid faced Al Sadd with Raul in the Al Sadd lineup.
