Archaeologists have unearthed remarkable findings in recent decades, confirming the historical existence of numerous Biblical figures who once lived among us.
Through discoveries such as wall drawings and inscriptions on stone slabs, evidence of at least 50 individuals mentioned in the Bible has been authenticated.
Among the notable discoveries is a stone slab engraved with the name Pontius Pilate, the Roman official who famously sentenced Jesus to death, driven by his concern for maintaining control over the Jewish population.
1.Pontius Pilate’s stone
The Roman leader who gave the order to crucify Jesus and then washed his hands in front of a crowd was a real and well-documented historical figure.
2.King Herod’s tomb
3.The cave of John the Baptist
4.The apostle Philip’s tomb
5.The seal of Isaiah
“We discovered an eighth-century BC seal mark that could potentially be attributed to the prophet Isaiah himself, positioned just 10 feet away from where we previously unearthed the widely-publicized bulla of King Hezekiah of Judah.
If this bulla does indeed belong to the prophet Isaiah, its proximity to one bearing King Hezekiah’s name would not be unexpected, given the close relationship described between Isaiah and King Hezekiah in the Bible.
Confirmation of this as Isaiah’s seal would mark the first tangible evidence of the prophet’s existence outside of biblical texts.”
