Fans fear Daniel Dubois will “retire early” as Anthony Joshua looks terrifying in training video

Anthony Joshua has left fans worried for Daniel Dubois after releasing intimidating training photos ahead of their upcoming fight. Dubois, defending his IBF heavyweight title for the first time, will face Joshua on September 21 at Wembley.

The training images, posted on Joshua’s Instagram, showcase his impressive physique, with bulging arms and defined abs visible through his sweat-drenched shirt. Fans are now concerned for Dubois, with one commenting, “Good luck to Dubois because he’s going into retirement early.” Another fan added, “I did not know who motivated Dubois to fight this guy,” while another praised Joshua, saying, “He’s got that aura back.”

Joshua, 34, is training for his third consecutive fight under coach Ben Davison at Davison’s gym in Harlow. This fight offers Joshua a chance to become a three-time champion after Dubois, 26, was elevated from the interim IBF titleholder to the full titleholder. This promotion occurred because Oleksandr Usyk vacated the title to prepare for his December 21 rematch with Tyson Fury following his May victory.

Frank Warren, Dubois’ promoter, disclosed that the winner of the September bout will be in line to face either Usyk or Fury. He told Sky Sports, “All roads will lead to unification again. Usyk is getting a massive payday for the rematch against Tyson, which he was contracted for. If he wanted to hold on to the belts, he wouldn’t have relinquished them. He’s in it for the money, and the rematch is a massive fight, which everyone wants to see. It was such a close fight last time; it’s an even bigger fight now in December. Whatever happens, the winner of this fight on September 21, which I believe will be Daniel, will fight the winner of Usyk vs. Fury, and the four belts will be back on the line again.”

As anticipation builds for the fight, fans and analysts alike are eager to see who will come out on top in this high-stakes matchup.
