George Russell took pole position at the British Formula 1 Grand Prix, leading the Mercedes team to a 1-2 at Silverstone Circuit.
Teammate Lewis Hamilton was 0.171 seconds slower than Russell but won the 11th starting position at his home race.
Lando Norris was third, holding on after retiring on the final lap to finish ahead of championship leader Max Verstappen in fourth.
Sergio Perez and Charles Leclerc went through difficult qualifying sessions when they were eliminated in Q1 and Q2 respectively.
