Built with mudbrick walls and featuring a central staircase leading to a raised plaza, the complex includes intricate friezes depicting anthropomorphic figures, such as a human body with a bird’s head and reptile claws. In addition, a well-preserved section of the temple adorned with plaster and colorful pigments has been uncovered. Further excavations in another area revealed ceremonial structures from the late Moche period (600-700 AD), along with the skeletal remains of a young child. This significant find sheds new light on the region’s rich archaeological history.
