Cardi B Is Currently Facing A Copyright Lawsuit Alleging Song Infringement.

Cardi B is currently facing a legal challenge as she has been accused of copyright infringement over her song ‘Enough (Miami).’ Producers Joshua Fraustro and Miguel Aguilar, known as Kemika1956, filed a lawsuit in Texas alleging that Cardi B and her collaborators used the beat from their song ‘Greasy Frybread’ without permission. The lawsuit, filed on July 3 in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas, names Cardi B, along with her song’s producers James D Steed (DJ Swanqo) and Joshua Parker (OG Parker).

The producers claim that their song ‘Greasy Frybread’ gained popularity after being featured in the FX series ‘Reservation Dogs,’ specifically in an episode that highlighted verses from Indigenous rapper Sten Joddi. Alongside Cardi B and her producers, defendants in the lawsuit include Atlantic Records, Celebrity Booking Agency, and Warner Music Group, according to Variety’s report on the matter.

It appears that Cardi B’s recent activities in the music industry are highlighted, despite her facing a copyright lawsuit over her song ‘Enough (Miami).’ Released in March of the current year, this track marks her second single. Since her acclaimed album ‘Invasion of Privacy,’ which earned her a Grammy for Best Rap Album in 2019, Cardi B has not released a full-length album. Nevertheless, she has maintained her success with hit singles and collaborations such as ‘WAP’ featuring Megan Thee Stallion and ‘Put It On Da Floor Again’ with Latto, both of which have achieved significant commercial success.
