Breaking: Haas Suddenly Announced That Magnussen Left The F1 Team

Haas has announced that Kevin Magnussen will leave the team at the end of the 2024 F1 season. The Danish driver, who drove for the team from 2017-2020 and again from 2022, will leave after the Formula 1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, which is expected to be his last season in the series Formula 1 car racing.

Haas recently confirmed that they will offer Ferrari protégé Oliver Bearman the chance to make his full-time F1 debut in 2025, with Esteban Ocon, the driver dropped from the Alpine team, tipped to join the team to become his teammate in the all-new 2025 squad. Magnussen’s current teammate Nico Hulkenberg has been announced as moving to Stake in preparation for Audi’s arrival in ’26.

The Danish driver rejoined Haas for the start of the 2022 season after Nikita Mazepin was sacked on the eve of the new season due to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, taking fifth place on his return to Bahrain, after initially leaving at the end of the 2020 season. As of the 2024 Formula 1 Grand Prix, Magnussen is the most experienced Haas driver with 135 starts out of 175 in his career.

Magnussen reacts
While the driver market continues to fluctuate, Magnussen’s name is not linked with any of the remaining seats, as it becomes increasingly clear that his ninth full F1 season will be his last, and he seemed very satisfied with that.

“I especially want to thank Gene Haas for his devotion to me, especially as he brought me back again in 2022 when I thought, at least at the time, the My time in Formula 1 is over. “I have had wonderful moments with this team – memories that I will never forget. “While I look forward to the next chapter in my racing career, I remain fully focused on giving it my all for the remainder of 2024 with the Haas F1 Team.”
