“BE CAREFUL” Alpine Will Imitate The Development And Surpass The Mclaren F1

Alpine’s executive technical director David Sanchez admitted that the French team could achieve as strong an improvement in performance as McLaren in the future. McLaren started last year’s F1 campaign at the bottom of the table as it struggled to post good results in the early stages of the season. However, a significant upgrade package at the Austrian Formula 1 Grand Prix took the car to a higher position, putting it in a competitive position on the podium.

McLaren has since progressed further and has been in contention to win many races this year. Alpine have also enjoyed a recent upturn, having started the current campaign as one of the slowest teams in the standings. As he continues to find his way back up the rankings, Sanchez does not rule out the prospect of repeating McLaren’s spectacular rise.

“I think the move that McLaren took last year can be replicated,” Sanchez told the media. “I would say the only difference for McLaren is that they changed direction significantly at the start of the season. “It looked like we were changing direction mid-season, so when you look at the development cycle in perspective, they seemed to have arrived quite early before the summer break. “We’ll try to come a little after the summer break.”

Alpine confirms changes to F1 car for 2025
Alpine will have a number of changes next year, including to its rider line-up as Esteban Ocon leaves the team.

Sanchez confirmed that the car will also have conceptual changes to improve performance on the track. “For next year, it will be conceptual changes. We are mainly talking about the suspension system. For this year, we’re shifting the focus a bit to aerodynamics. “I don’t think they are big conceptual changes because when you look at the car it looks very similar. “But when you look at the aerodynamic characteristics, they tend to be different, some are stronger in terms of performance.”
