During the debut of his AWGE runway collection “American Sabotage” at Paris Fashion Week, ASAP Rocky made a significant announcement regarding his highly anticipated new album. The US rapper showcased his distinctive style on the global stage before revealing that his new album, titled “Don’t Be Dumb,” is scheduled for release on August 30th, marking his first album in six years.
The phrase “Don’t Be Dumb” was prominently featured on various fashion pieces, including a notable vest seemingly crafted from plastic. Among the front-row attendees was music superstar Rihanna, who shares two sons with Rocky. She was seen capturing moments of the runway show on her phone as it showcased distressed clothing, layered bandanas, balaclavas, and cargos.
At the conclusion of the show, Rocky, adorned in sunglasses, encouraged the audience to cheer louder. A notice flashed on the live broadcast announcing the availability of pre-orders for “Don’t Be Dumb.”
Rocky initially hinted at the fashion line during the Rolling Loud festival in 2023, where he sported a bulletproof vest bearing the same phrase rumored to be the title of his upcoming fourth album. In an interview with GQ magazine, Rocky described the fashion show as “political satire,” a theme reflected in a T-shirt from the collection.
This revelation precedes Rocky’s impending criminal trial in Los Angeles, where he faces charges of assault with a semi-automatic firearm, to which he has pleaded not guilty.
