American track and field stars Hunter Woodhall and Tara Davis-Woodhall have solidified their status as an Olympic power couple after both secured gold medals at the 2024 Paris Games. Woodhall won gold in the men’s 400M at the Paralympics on Friday, following his wife’s victory in the women’s long jump during the Paris Olympics in August.
In a thrilling race, Woodhall crossed the finish line ahead of Germany’s Johannes Floors and the Netherlands’ Olivier Hendriks, earning him his first Paralympic gold medal. This win adds to Woodhall’s already impressive collection of medals, including two bronze and a silver from the 2020 and 2016 Paralympic Games, as recognized by the International Paralympic Committee.
In addition to his individual triumph, Woodhall contributed to the U.S. team’s success in the mixed 4x100m universal relay, where they secured a bronze medal, making his Paralympic achievements even more remarkable.
The couple’s story captivated the world earlier this year when they went viral for their emotional celebration of Davis-Woodhall’s first Olympic gold. Their love and support for each other has resonated with fans since they first met at a high school track meet. Now, both are gold medalists, having competed together in both the Tokyo 2020 Olympics and Paralympics.
Married in 2022, Hunter and Tara continue to inspire not just with their athletic prowess, but also through their powerful bond, making them a truly unstoppable team in life and sport.
