McLaren greatly defeated Red Bull in the team standings with 44 points after taking first-second place at the Hungarian Formula 1 Automobile Championship.
Amid controversy over the team’s order when Lando Norris appeared to refuse to let Oscar Piastri take the lead, the British driver finally agreed to do so on Lap 68 out of 70, giving Piastri First victory of his career.
Red Bull could only manage fifth and seventh places with Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez in a chaotic afternoon for the team that saw complaints about strategy and Verstappen facing a management investigation for collided with Lewis Hamilton, who achieved his 200th career podium.
