Jaron “Boots” Ennis Says ” He Wants To Fight Big Names Like Terence Crawford Or Anyone Else” After Knocking Out David Avanesyan In Five Rounds

After a stunning knockout victory over David Avanesyan in the fifth round, Jaron “Boots” Ennis made it clear that he is eager to face the top names in the welterweight division, including Terence Crawford. The fight, which took place at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, saw Ennis defend his IBF welterweight title with an impressive performance that further solidified his status as one of boxing’s rising stars.

Ennis’s victory came after a dominant showing in the ring. From the outset, Ennis showcased his superior skills and power, gradually breaking down Avanesyan, who was the reigning IBF welterweight champion going into the bout. By the fifth round, Ennis’s relentless pressure and precision were too much for Avanesyan, who was knocked down and eventually unable to continue. The referee, following the ringside physician’s advice, stopped the fight, awarding Ennis a TKO victory.

In the post-fight interview, Ennis expressed his enthusiasm for taking on other high-profile fighters. “I want to fight the big names,” Ennis declared. “Terence Crawford is at the top of my list, but I’m ready to take on anyone else who stands in my way.” This statement underscores Ennis’s ambition and readiness to challenge the best in the welterweight division.

Ennis’s desire to face Terence Crawford is particularly notable. Crawford, known for his skill, versatility, and undefeated record, is widely regarded as one of the best pound-for-pound fighters in the world. A matchup between Crawford and Ennis would be highly anticipated, given Crawford’s technical mastery and Ennis’s explosive fighting style. The prospect of such a fight adds an exciting dimension to the welterweight landscape.

Ennis’s confidence and performance have already earned him a reputation as a formidable contender. With an impressive record of 32-0, including 29 knockouts, Ennis has demonstrated his power and skill, making him a significant threat in the division. His recent victory over Avanesyan, in front of a hometown crowd of around 14,000, showcased his ability to perform under pressure and his readiness for top-tier competition.

Ennis’s eagerness to take on big names reflects a broader trend in boxing where emerging stars seek to establish their legacies by challenging the best. His ambition to face Crawford or other elite fighters indicates his determination to make a mark in the sport and secure his place among boxing’s elite.

Jaron Ennis’s knockout win over David Avanesyan not only defended his IBF welterweight title but also set the stage for potential high-profile matchups. Ennis’s expressed interest in fighting Terence Crawford and other top contenders highlights his readiness to take on the best and make a significant impact in the welterweight division.
