Mike Perry exudes confidence ahead of his upcoming boxing bout against Jake Paul on July 20 at Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida. In a recent interview posted on Most Valuable Promotions’ X page, Perry displayed no concerns about suffering a knockout like Tyron Woodley did against Paul in their December 2021 rematch.
“I’m gonna pummel Jake and stay on top of him and stay in his face and punch him,” Perry asserted confidently. He elaborated on his strategy, emphasizing his intention to target Paul’s body, head, shoulders, arms, and hips to secure victory in their upcoming fight.
Perry, 32, boasts a 14-8 record in mixed martial arts and has transitioned to bare-knuckle fighting, where he remains undefeated at 5-0, including a notable first-round TKO victory over Thiago Alves in April. In contrast, Paul, 27, holds a 9-1 record as a boxer with 6 knockouts. He has recently rebounded from a loss to Tommy Fury in February 2023 with three consecutive wins, including a first-round TKO of Ryan Bourland in March.
As the fight date approaches, Perry’s confident stance and aggressive strategy set the stage for what promises to be an intense showdown between the two fighters.
