Carl Froch has escalated his feud with Anthony Joshua by making significant claims and criticisms. The former friends and training partners at Team GB’s Sheffield headquarters have seen their relationship sour over recent years, with Froch becoming notably vocal in his criticisms of Joshua and his career trajectory.
In response to Joshua labeling him a “p***k,” Froch continued to take shots at Joshua, suggesting that a prime Frank Bruno would defeat him in a fantasy fight scenario. He also speculated that Joshua’s upcoming bout against Daniel Dubois on September 21 at Wembley could potentially mark the end of Joshua’s career as a two-time heavyweight champion.
Froch, aged 47, expressed his belief to BestOnlinePokerSites, stating: “The Frank Bruno that fought Lennox Lewis in Cardiff back in the 90s – that Frank Bruno beats Anthony Joshua. I’m sorry but he just does. It’s just all about timing and you can’t hold that against Anthony Joshua. I know they call it heavyweight, but it’s very thin now. The landscape of heavyweight boxing. It’s not what it used to be.”
