Johnny Fisher Knocked Out Alen Babic In Just 36 Seconds, With A Spectacular Ko, With A Post-fight Statement Full Of Arrogance

Johnny Fisher’s Explosive 36-Second Knockout Over Alen Babic Impresses Eddie Hearn

‘The Romford Bull’ Johnny Fisher delivered a stunning 36-second knockout victory over Alen Babic, extending his unbeaten record to 12-0 in his burgeoning career. Alen Babic was no match for Fisher’s power on Saturday night, crumbling under the Brit’s onslaught.

From the first clean right hand that landed, Babic’s fate was sealed as his knees buckled. Despite Babic’s determination to retaliate, Fisher unleashed a ferocious seven-punch combination, sending Babic crashing to the canvas. Although Babic bravely stood up, he stumbled backward, prompting the referee to call off the fight. This marked Babic’s second first-round knockout loss in three fights, the first being a two-minute defeat by Poland’s Lukasz Rozanski during the WBC bridgerweight title challenge in April last year.

In the immediate aftermath of his victory, Fisher expressed his elation: “This is one of the most special moments of my life and career so far. I want to thank every single one of you. I was prepared for a ten-round war tonight, but my preparation paid off with this result. I have total respect for Alen Babic. His team thought they could drag me deep, but I won’t be pulled out by anyone. I have the heart of a warrior.”

Fisher has rapidly gained recognition as one of Britain’s most thrilling young heavyweights. Promoter Eddie Hearn is optimistic about his future, declaring, “This isn’t a gimmick. You’re looking at a world-class heavyweight prospect with just two amateur fights! I’d back him against anyone at British title level. He’s the real deal.”

Despite a brief 10-bout amateur career, Fisher has consistently impressed in the professional ranks. Last year, he won the Boxing Writers’ Club’s Young Fighter of the Year award after claiming his first senior title, the Southern Area heavyweight strap, in August 2023. Following his dominant performance against Babic, Fisher is now expected to contend at the British title level.

Fabio Wardley, who currently holds the Lonsdale belt, is set to defend it against Frazer Clarke once again after their intense initial bout in March ended in a draw. With his latest victory, Fisher has firmly positioned himself as a formidable contender in the heavyweight division, with fans eagerly anticipating his next move.
