That dream is now coming to fruition, as the King had the opportunity to train with Bronny, who has just been signed by the Lakers. This emotional moment has clearly made an impact on LeBron.

This summer has been marked by a key question: Would LeBron and his son Bronny finally play together in the same jersey? Unsurprisingly, the answer is a resounding yes, as the Lakers selected Bronny with the 55th pick in the recent Draft. This choice makes the James family the first father-son duo in NBA history, further solidifying the King’s legacy.

At nearly 40 years old and with 20 seasons at the highest level, LeBron can still feel intense emotions on the court. Appearing on the “GoJo & Golic” show, he shared his experience of training with Bronny and admitted that he struggled to stay focused. “It was the first time we trained together as professionals. At times, I lost my concentration watching him get ready. It’s going to be an incredible year for both of us,” he stated.

Despite the family aspect, LeBron remains a professional. On the court, there’s no way Bronny is calling him “dad.” To help with their new dynamic, the King even prepared a list of nicknames his son could use, such as “2-3,” “Bron,” or simply “GOAT.” However, during their first training session, Bronny surprised everyone by not calling his father anything at all, which brought a smile to LeBron’s face.

“You know what? He hasn’t said anything yet. I don’t know how he’s going to call me. I’m looking forward to finding out,” he added, clearly amused.

So, we’ll have to wait a bit longer to find out what nickname Bronny chooses for his father. But beyond the words, the most important thing is that their bond is growing on the court.
