BREAKING: Canelo Gives Honest Verdict On Edgar Berlanga’s Power As Fans Shocked At Post Fight Bruising

Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez once again showcased his dominance in the ring this past weekend, securing a comfortable victory over previously unbeaten Edgar Berlanga. The unified super-middleweight champion displayed his renowned power and precision, knocking Berlanga down in the third round with a perfectly timed left hook. The 27-year-old challenger, visibly frustrated, managed to survive the round, regrouping for the remainder of the fight.

From that moment, fans anticipated Alvarez, a four-weight world champion, to seal the deal with a knockout. However, Berlanga, though battered, demonstrated resilience, pushing the fight through all 12 rounds. The final bell rang with Canelo cruising to a wide unanimous decision, cementing his legacy further in the super-middleweight division.

Despite emerging victorious, Canelo’s face bore visible signs of Berlanga’s punches. At the post-fight press conference, fans were quick to point out the unusual swelling on Alvarez’s face, with some commenting, “Wow. Never seen Canelo’s face so marked after a fight,” and “You’d think he’d been in a war by the look of his face.”

When asked about Berlanga’s power, Alvarez responded with a remark that lightened the atmosphere: “In the tenth or ninth round, I said to him, ‘you hit like my son.’ He thinks he hits hard, but he hits like my son. But I’m super strong, so maybe that’s why.”

On the other hand, Berlanga acknowledged Alvarez’s strength, admitting that Canelo is “for sure” the hardest hitter he has faced in the ring. Reflecting on the fight, Berlanga said, “I knew I was going to get hit. It comes with boxing. The greats got dropped, got hurt, but it’s about how you come back.”

With his latest victory, Canelo remains a dominant force in the boxing world. Fans eagerly await his next fight, which is expected to take place in May 2024, during the Cinco de Mayo weekend. However, his next opponent remains unknown, adding further anticipation to the upcoming bout.
